CLOSED SET: Oscar Nominations- Who Will Take Home the Golden Man?

The Oscar nominations were released early yesterday morning. There were a few suprising snubs as far as typipcal nominations go but from the compiled list here are my thoughts as to who will take home that small, heavy, golden man this year.

Best Picture:
Being that there are now 10 best picture nominees, it's definitley a toss up between a few of the years most critically acclaimed flicks. The Social Network took home the big prize at the Golden Globes but something tells me the Academy may not vote in the same way.

Final guess: It's a toss up between The Social Network and The King's Speech.

Actor in a leading role:
There is no doubt in my mind.

Actress in a leading role:
This is a tough category because all nominated deserve to win (and I'm not trying to be political either). Annette Bening was fabulous in The Kids Are All Right as was Nicole Kidman in The Rabbit Hole but my guess is that the academy is going to pick the star that is having their "moment" right now.

Animated Feature Film:
They really didn't need to put other films in this category because they don't stand a chance.

Final guess: Toy Story 3.

Writing (original screenplay):
The academy likes to vote for the most original film of the year in this category, hence the title. Although this film was highly loved, my guess is that it won't walk away with many wins this Oscar season. It will however, will this award.
