Does everybody love fat and hairy in Hollywood?

Zach Galifiankis, who is better known as “that fat guy with the beard from The Hangover” has made quite a name for himself after starting his comedy career in the back of a fast food restaurant in Times Square. Since 2008, Mr. Galifiankis has stared in a hit television show, Bored To Death as well as several blockbuster movies which in total grossed over 660 million dollars at the box office.

Zach first stared in the commercially publicized film, What Happens in Vegas, in 2008, staring along side Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz. But his breakthrough role was when he was cast as the baby-carrying, tiger chasing, drug abusing, brother-in-law to be in The Hangover in the summer of 2009 (a character which he will play again in the sequel which is to be released in Spring of 2011). Ever since then, Zach hasn't stopped working. Chances are if you look at any of the hit films from the past two years, there is good chance that Zach is in a majority of them.

Even though the comedy, Dinner for Schmucks, was Zach's most recently released film, comedy isn't Mr. Galifiankis's only talent. In 2007 he stared in Into The Wild, the Oscar nominated film alongside Emile Hirsch which centers around a man who no longer wants to live by the confides of society and ventures out to live in the wild. Zach is also going to be staring in It's Kind of a Funny Story with Keir Gilchrist (United States of Tara) and Emma Roberts (Valentine's Day) which is to be released this fall, staring him as a professional shrink who mentors troubled children. Although this role appears to be serious, many have commented on Zach's clips in the trailer for the film stating that, “he is still going to try and be the token funny guy.”

But for all those who love to laugh at the straight-faced comedy that has become to be known as Zach's signature style, his next comedy is due to hit theaters this November as an aspiring actor on a road trip along side Robert Downy Jr. in Due Date.

Although as many celebrities do, Zach does have some people who don't like him stating “can you please stop casting him” and “nothing about him is funny”. Yet, he was given the best comedic performance award at the MTV Movie Awards and the comedy star of the year award at the Showest Convention this year.

But for those who despise Mr. Galifiankis, he joked in an interview that he wouldn't be in the entertainment industry for much longer. “It's a little bit strange to be famous at 40-years-old. If I were in my twenties, this whole thing would freak me out. Don't worry I'm sure I'll fuck it up somehow.”
