Shia LeBeouf goes to the moon?

This weekend the teaser trailer for the third installment of the Tranformers film series was released. So far Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon appears to have added a more historical element using actual events such as the first moon landing at the main sequence shown in the trailer.



As for the rest of the film, no sight of the protagonist, Sam Witwickey (Shia LaBeouf) or his new co-star, Rosey Huntington Whitley a Victoria's Secret model who replaced previous love-interest, Megan Fox is never seen in the trailer.

The only other indications of the films premise is a short plot preview from IMDB.com. "Against the backdrop of the space race between the U.S.S.R. and the USA, the alliance between Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf) and Optimus Prime is put to the test against a common enemy: Shockwave. "


Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon is set to hit theaters on 4th of July weekend, July 1st, 2011.
