It was back in 1984 that audiences first saw the Ghostbusters in theaters. It wasn't until 1989 that they were seen again. It's been a large amount of time but fans of the cult classic are still beginning for more. Recently, filmmakers and actors from the first two films have been in talks of making a third installment of the film series. As of late, it has been decided that Ghostbusters III will makes it debut in 2012. However, there has been buzz that actor, Bill Murray is causing a bit of a problem amoung the filmmakers which ultimately could push the films release date back further. This information came from fellow actor, Ernie Hudson during a recent interview.
As for the subject of the film, Sigourney Weaver let it slip during a press junket for Avatar stating that Bill Murray's character in the film, Peter is going to come back as a ghost and that her son in the film, Oscar Barrett will become a ghostbuster himself. As for new additions, Anna Farris best known for her slapstick comedy in the Scary Movie franchise will star as well. All information about the film as of now, is up in the air.
