The Highest Grossing Film of 2011...

is Rango? I have to admit, I'm shocked. It is not a secret that animated films do well in theaters, especially when A-list names are attached to them, but with many movie reviewers labeling this flick as "not kid friendly" I never suspected it to be number one this weekened at the box office, let alone the top grossing movie of 2011 so far.

The Johnny Depp flick, Rango, grossed an impressive $38 million this weekend which placed the 2D film, The Green Hornet, staring Seth Rogen in second place for the highest gross.
