When Board Games Come to the Big Screen
Studio executives seem to be making films out of everything these days. Earlier this week we found out that Disney is creating a ride based off their classic attraction, Jungle Cruise. Today, it has been confirmed that Ridley Scott will be making a film called Monopoly, based off the popular Hasbro board game.
"Monoploy is still happening, and we're developing a great story. It's going to be a very fun story to tell," said Hasbro CEO, Brian Goldner. Pre-production for the movie should begin in late 2012 or early 2013.
